On 18 July 2023, Ofgem confirmed that the Moray Offshore Wind Farm (West) OFTO transmission assets, associated with the 882 MW Moray West wind farm, had entered Tender Round 10, with four bidding consortia shortlisted at the Enhanced Pre-Qualification stage to compete to own and operate the link. The OFTO assets, anticipated to be worth around £0.6 billion, will proceed to an Invitation to Tender stage (from Q2 2024), through which the eventual OFTO licensee will secure a regulated revenue stream for up to 25 years, subject to asset availability.
