ACE Winches, an Ashtead Technology company, completed the pull-in of two 245 kV offshore export cables for the Moray West project, pulling the cables from the cable lay vessel into the landfall transition joint bay near Sandend Bay on the Aberdeenshire coast. The operation covered approximately 50 km of export cable and formed a key step in establishing the Moray West offshore transmission link that will connect the offshore wind farm and its two offshore substations to the onshore grid.
