In 2014, planning consent for the Moray East Offshore Wind Farm was awarded, with the Scottish Government granting offshore consent and Aberdeenshire Council granting onshore consent, alongside Section 36 consents and associated Marine Licences for up to three generating stations at the Moray East site (Telford, Stevenson and MacColl).
