Ofgem issued a notice on 12 November 2020 confirming that the Moray East offshore wind farm transmission assets had fulfilled all necessary conditions under the OFTO Tender Regulations, including submission of qualifying project requests, required payments, security, and compliance with Schedule 2, paragraph 2. This regulatory step formally qualified Moray East’s transmission system—comprising three offshore substations and export cables—for participation in the OFTO Tender Round 7 competitive licensing process.
