Description
ABB supplied PASS (Plug and Switch System) 420 kV hybrid switchgear modules for both the Sorgente and Rizziconi substations at each end of the 380 kV Messina Strait crossing. The PASS 420 kV modules integrate circuit breaker, disconnector, earthing switch, and current/voltage transformers into a single pre-assembled, factory-tested unit.
