DeepOcean was contracted by NSW to perform marine works associated with transporting, installing and burying the Merkur offshore wind farm’s HVAC export cable connection between the DolWin gamma converter platform and the Merkur offshore substation. The scope included a burial assessment study, route surveys, route engineering and pre-lay grapnel runs, as well as installation of cable protection systems and pre-/post-lay crossing protection works for a corridor that crossed multiple live cables.
