Fraunhofer LBF carried out structural monitoring work at the Meerwind Süd/Ost offshore wind farm by applying radar antennas and reference sensor technology to monitor the grout connection on a 3.6 MW wind turbine generator. The work formed part of the InsituWIND research project to detect damage mechanisms (e.g., cracks and washouts) and assess structural integrity under offshore operating conditions over multiple years.
