Following these preliminary studies, Renexia selected four connected but technically independent project areas in the Strait of Sicily—Med Wind Scirocco (Lotto Sud-Est), Grecale (Nord-Est), Tramontana (Nord), and Maestrale (Nord-Ovest)—each with defined turbine counts and onshore grid connection points at Partanna or Partinico, together forming the overall Med Wind offshore wind farm.
