Description
Van Oord, headquartered in Rotterdam, was contracted by Subsea 7 to execute rock installation for the Martin Linge power‑from‑shore cable. Using the rock‑placement vessel Nordnes, Van Oord installed rock berms and spot protection along the subsea cable route, particularly at crossings and exposed sections, to stabilize and shield the 145 kV HVAC cable from external threats such as trawling, anchors and seabed mobility, completing the mechanical protection of the interconnector.
