Description
EMAS, using its dedicated cable‑lay vessel Lewek Connector, was subcontracted by ABB (now part of NKT’s cable business) to install the Martin Linge power‑from‑shore HVAC cable. EMAS executed the offshore installation in two campaigns, loading out and laying the two cable sections, performing the dry midline splice offshore, and carrying out the onshore pull‑in at Kollsnes via a pre‑drilled HDD tunnel. After laying and jointing, EMAS positioned the cable in its final configuration for subsequent protection and testing before handover to the client.
