System Testing

Following completion of trenching and rock protection of the Martin Linge power-from-shore cable in June and July 2015, a final integrity test program was carried out from the Kollsnes onshore site before the cable was formally handed over from Subsea 7 to Total E&P Norge. These tests verified the condition and performance of the 145 kV HVAC subsea cable system, including its integrated fiber optics, prior to it entering service as the single power supply from shore to the platform and associated FSO.
