Total E&P Norge contracted Siemens to build an onshore substation at Kollsnes to supply power from the Norwegian mainland grid to the Martin Linge field via a 161 km subsea HVAC cable, with commissioning of the new substation targeted for 2015. Siemens was responsible for engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of the 55 MW, 300/100 kV substation including SVC PLUS, transformers, GIS and automation systems.
