ABB engaged Calecore (also referenced via Swire and the vessel Seabed Worker) to perform a pre‑lay survey of the Martin Linge power‑from‑shore cable route, with vessel mobilization from Bergen planned for March 2015. The campaign, using a DP2 vessel equipped with a Schilling HD work‑class ROV, was to conduct ROV visual and magnetic surveys along the approximately 163 km centre line to confirm seabed conditions and identify hazards and crossings prior to installation of the world’s longest HVAC submarine cable supplying the Martin Linge platform from Kollsnes.
