Description
GEOxyz conducted development-stage offshore route site investigations for the MaresConnect interconnector, carrying out geophysical and geotechnical survey operations in Irish offshore waters along the proposed cable route. Offshore geophysical operations were performed aboard the survey vessel Geo Ocean VI between 15 and 30 July 2025, followed by a geotechnical survey campaign between 6 and 10 August 2025 to undertake targeted seabed sampling to inform cable burial feasibility and engineering parameters such as sediment characteristics and thermal resistivity.
