Description
Techfem S.p.A., working in joint venture with CESI S.p.A., was engaged by Interconnect Malta to provide Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) services for Malta–Italy Interconnector 2 (IC2). The JV’s mandate covers development-phase engineering for the 122 km, 220 kV interconnector, including routing and preliminary design of the 99 km submarine cable between Malta and Sicily, shore approaches, and interface definition with the Magħtab and Ragusa grid connection points. Techfem contributes project engineering and coordination to translate system requirements into a coherent cable system design and tender-ready technical documentation for the subsea cable package.
