By March 2023, Fugro Italy had completed the preliminary marine route survey for the Malta Sicily Cable Link 2, with Interconnect Malta noting that PMRS field activities were finalised in early 2023 and NS Energy reporting overall survey completion in March, providing the geophysical data needed to refine the 122 km interconnector route and support subsequent engineering and permitting.
