Survey Other Complete

As part of the Rómulo 2 Majorca–Ibiza electricity interconnection project, Red Eléctrica de España completed an oceanographic campaign prior to drafting the project. This pre-project campaign included a dedicated study of cultural heritage (archaeological patrimony) along the planned subsea cable route. The study confirmed the absence of any archaeological or paleontological remains along the submarine route, indicating that no known heritage assets would be affected by the interconnection. The results of this completed oceanographic and heritage survey are reported in the project brochure, which is dated October 2013, implying that the campaign and its cultural heritage component had been finished by that time.
