Red Eléctrica de España completed the laying of the submarine section of the cable for the new electricity link between Menorca and Majorca, using the cable‑laying vessel Skagerrak. The vessel, which started work at Cala en Bosc (Ciudadela, Menorca), reached Cala Mesquida (Capdepera, Majorca), where installation of the submarine section was finished and the cable was then dragged ashore to be connected to the land section of the link.
