In January 2013 Eneco and Mitsubishi Corporation stated that construction of the Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm would start in July 2014 and be completed after the summer of 2015. This marked the planned commencement of offshore construction activities for the 129 MW project located 23 kilometres off the Dutch coast between Noordwijk and Zandvoort.
