On 12 May 2014, the first monopile foundation for the Eneco Luchterduinen offshore wind farm, manufactured by Sif Group in Roermond, was completed and transported towards the construction site 23 kilometres off the Dutch coast between Noordwijk and Zandvoort, marking the start of the offshore foundation installation campaign for the project’s 43 turbines.
