Fugro provided multi-disciplinary survey and monitoring services for the London Array offshore wind farm in the Outer Thames Estuary. Fugro installed the 70 m met mast using the jack-up platform Excalibur, then carried out extensive geophysical and geotechnical site investigations from summer 2007 to spring 2008 for turbine foundation locations and elements of the cable route. The scope also included preliminary and follow-on UXO clearance surveys for jack-up platform and vessel locations, as well as environmental pre-construction surveys. Fugro further delivered detailed geophysical studies across the site and cable routes, provided positioning support to contractors, and continued metocean buoy maintenance services during operations.
