London Array Ltd, via E.ON UK Renewables Developments Ltd, issued the Environmental Impact Assessment (On-shore Works) Scoping Report for the London Array Offshore Wind Farm on 23 July 2004 and formally submitted it to Swale Borough Council. The scoping report, prepared under the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) (England and Wales) Regulations 1999, set out the proposed scope of the EIA for the onshore substation, access road and cable routing at Cleve Hill and was circulated to a wide range of statutory consultees listed in an appendix, initiating the formal scoping consultation process for the onshore elements of the project.
