Inter-array cable installation at London Array started in September 2011, when Global Marine contracted Herbosch-Kiere, which mobilised its multifunctional vessel ATLANTIS to Sheerness for the project. ATLANTIS, upgraded with a DP1 positioning system and a dedicated cable-lay spread, began installing 33 kV submarine cables linking the turbines to the offshore substations across the wind farm site.
