Fabricom, as one of the three Belgian partners in the Future Energy joint venture, participated in the design, fabrication and installation of the two offshore HVAC substations serving the London Array grid connection, later forming part of the London Array OFTO. Within the Future Energy consortium, Fabricom contributed engineering, topside fabrication and offshore construction expertise, helping deliver the three‑level substation platforms that collect 33 kV power from the wind farm arrays, step it up to 150 kV and feed it into the four export circuits to shore. The JV completed the offshore substations using a combined effort of about 100,000 man‑hours from design through offshore installation.
