On 30 September 2009, Nexans Norway AS entered into a contract with members of the London Array consortium to supply the high‑voltage export power cables for the London Array project. These cables were procured following a tender process initiated by a March 2008 RFQ and are the 150 kV export cables linking the offshore substations to shore for the London Array transmission system.
