The LirIC project is targeting financial close in the third quarter of 2027. This target, stated in the converter station and cable EPCI tender notices, defines the planned schedule for concluding financing and moving the 700 MW Scotland–Northern Ireland HVDC interconnector from development into full delivery and construction.
