Description
Sumitomo Electric Industries was selected by National Grid as one of six HVDC cable suppliers under a multi‑billion‑pound framework that will serve early projects including LionLink. Through this framework, Sumitomo is positioned to deliver design, production and offshore installation of 525 kV HVDC subsea power cables for the LionLink interconnector, potentially drawing on its planned UK manufacturing base.
