Description
Prysmian Group was awarded a position on National Grid’s HVDC cable supply framework, which covers confirmed and anticipated projects such as the LionLink hybrid interconnector. Under this strategic framework, Prysmian may be called off to provide subsea HVDC cable system design, manufacture and installation for LionLink’s 525 kV, up to 2 GW bipole link between the Netherlands and Great Britain. The appointment secures Prysmian as one of National Grid’s preferred HVDC subsea cable partners for the LionLink development and construction phases, although no project‑specific LionLink EPC or cable length allocation has yet been announced.
