Mitsubishi Electric was awarded a place on National Grid’s HVDC converter systems framework, positioning the company to deliver HVDC converter systems for projects including the LionLink NL–GB interconnector. Under this framework, Mitsubishi Electric may be called upon to provide design, manufacture and installation of onshore converter station equipment and associated systems for LionLink, alongside other major UK HVDC schemes. The framework runs for five years with a potential three‑year extension and is intended to underpin delivery of early projects such as Eastern Green Link 4, Sea Link and LionLink.
