Description
LS Cable & System was appointed by National Grid to its HVDC cable supply framework, which explicitly includes early projects such as LionLink. Through this framework LS Cable & System is eligible to provide design, manufacture and installation of high‑voltage DC subsea cable systems for LionLink’s 525 kV bipole connection between the Netherlands and Great Britain. The role is framework‑based rather than a single project EPC award, but it secures LS Cable & System as one of the limited pool of qualified HVDC cable suppliers that National Grid can call on to deliver LionLink’s offshore cable scope during the development and construction phases.
