In April 2026, National Grid (through its LionLink project team) confirmed that the statutory public consultation for the LionLink interconnector project between the UK and the Netherlands had closed. The project website explains that the consultation period, during which stakeholders and members of the public were invited to review the proposals and provide feedback, is now complete. National Grid thanks participants for their input and states that all feedback received is being reviewed. The outcomes will be summarised in a formal Consultation Report, which is planned to form part of LionLink’s forthcoming application for development consent later in 2026.
