Given the standard NSIP stages (pre‑examination, examination, recommendation and Secretary of State decision), a 2027 consent date is no longer credible; shifting to mid‑2028 aligns better with a Q4 2026 submission. --- LionLink anticipates receiving a decision on its Development Consent Order (DCO) application in 2027 from the UK Planning Inspectorate and the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, which, if approved, would grant development consent for the interconnector.
