Onshore preparatory works for the Lincs Offshore Wind Farm grid connection began in April 2010 at the Walpole 400 kV substation near King’s Lynn, marking the start of civil construction activities for the onshore substation and associated infrastructure needed to transform power from 132 kV to 400 kV and connect the project to the UK grid.
