Description
Siemens Transmission & Distribution Ltd (STDL) was contracted by Lincs Wind Farm Limited for the offshore substation platform forming part of the Lincs offshore transmission assets. STDL, working offshore at the Lincs wind farm site, provided design and supply of the steel lattice jacket and topside platform, and also the design, supply and installation of the main mechanical and electrical equipment on the offshore substation, including 132/33kV transformers, 132kV and 33kV switchgear, earthing transformers, reactors and associated auxiliary systems. This work delivered the single offshore HVAC substation that connects the turbine array to the export cables and onward grid connection, and was executed during the construction phase prior to transfer of the assets to the OFTO owner.
