Offshore cables for the Lincs Wind Farm Transmission Assets comprise two 3-core 132 kV XLPE subsea export cables, each 48 km long, supplied by Nexans to connect the offshore substation to shore.
Nexans manufactured and supplied the offshore export cable system for the Lincs offshore wind farm transmission assets, which were later transferred to TC Lincs OFTO. Under its contract with Lincs Wind Farm Limited, Nexans provided two three-core 132 kV XLPE subsea export cables, each approximately 48 km in length, connecting the Lincs offshore substation to the landfall near Guys Head. The cables form the 132 kV HVAC link that exports power from the wind farm to the onshore transmission system and are rated at around 135 MW per circuit with integrated optical fibres for data transmission.
