Following the insolvency of the original marine installation contractor, a new cost-plus contract for the Lincs export cable installation scope was signed on 7 March 2011 with a replacement contractor. This re-procurement shifted from a lump-sum to a cost-plus arrangement and redistributed responsibilities for nearshore and offshore installation methods, ensuring continuation of the cable installation programme for the future Lincs OFTO assets.
