On 9 September 2011 Nexans completed a Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) for the Lincs Sea Defence Crossing Cable, as documented in the FAT report. This milestone confirmed that the specialised 132 kV cable section for the sea defence crossing met technical specifications and was ready for delivery and subsequent integration into the Lincs export cable system forming part of the OFTO transmission link.
