Following the start of offshore construction at Lillgrund in August 2006, installation of the gravity-based concrete foundations for the 48 turbines and the offshore substation began later in 2006, carried out by Hochtief as part of the Pihl Hochtief Joint Venture in the shallow 4–8 m waters of the Øresund Strait.
