On 15 December 2015, the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult completed the acquisition of the 7MW Levenmouth demonstration offshore wind turbine, located off the East Fife coast, from Samsung Heavy Industries, taking over full ownership of the asset as an open-access research and training facility for the offshore wind industry.
