On 31 August 2018, ORE Catapult reported that the Scottish Government had provided £685,000 of funding linked to the 7MW Levenmouth Offshore Wind Demonstration Turbine to run SME technology demonstration projects and establish data-sharing initiatives, extending the turbine’s role as a national R&D and innovation facility.
