On 28 November 2016, ORE Catapult announced a programme co‑funded with the Scottish Government to support development of a digital clone of the 7MW Levenmouth Offshore Wind Demonstration Turbine (CLOWT) and to give SMEs access to the turbine for demonstrating innovative sensing technologies, indicating public grant funding had been secured for these R&D activities at the site.
