Supplier for Latvia and Estonia Hybrid Offshore interconnector [currently known as 'Elwind']
Latvian subcontractor support on constraints and routing for the ELWIND 450 kV HVDC hybrid interconnector subsea cable (~180 km) and related grid connections.
Enviroprojekts, a Latvian subcontractor to Haskoning, is engaged on the ELWIND strategic cable and network configuration study covering offshore wind areas in Estonian and Latvian waters and the associated hybrid interconnector. Within the Haskoning-led team, Enviroprojekts supports assessment of grid connection options and subsea cable routing, with a focus on Latvian territory. Its role includes providing local data and expertise on spatial planning, environmental designations, military areas, and regulatory constraints that influence route selection and landfall/substation siting. This input helps refine technically, environmentally, and legally feasible cable corridors and grid connection schemes on the Latvian side, feeding into subsequent design phases and the Environmental Impact Assessment for the ELWIND interconnector and offshore wind farms.
