The fourth Estonia–Latvia electricity interconnection, planned as a 1,000 MW hybrid offshore link between Saaremaa Island in Estonia and the Kurzeme shore in Latvia that will also connect offshore wind farms, is expected to be commissioned by 2035 following completion of the necessary transmission infrastructure investments and construction, with EU Connecting Europe Facility co‑financing envisaged.
