In its Power Transmission System Development Plan 2025–2034, AST reported preliminary LaSGo project costs of about EUR 900 million and noted that, through an intergovernmental agreement with Sweden, the project aims to secure European co‑financing for further surveys and construction, conditional on its inclusion in ENTSO‑E’s TYNDP and the EU PCI list. Earlier planning documents also indicated estimated construction costs of EUR 700 million on the Latvian side, underscoring the scale of the planned investment even though no specific funding awards have yet been granted.
