Asso.subsea has been awarded the nearshore cable installation scope for TenneT’s LanWin5 grid connection, with installation of the export cable bundle for LanWin5 scheduled for 2029 off the northwestern coast of Baltrum Island in northern Germany. The scope covers transportation and nearshore installation of a bundled system comprising two 525 kV HVDC power cables, one metallic return cable, and one fibre‑optic cable, to be executed using the cable‑laying vessel Atalanti and specialised beach landing and intertidal operations.
