Nearshore installation for LanWin1; 2x HVDC power cables + metallic return + fibre optic; CLV Atalanti
Asso.subsea was selected for the nearshore cable installation scope for TenneT’s LanWin1 (alongside BalWin4 and LanWin5). The work covered transport and nearshore installation of a bundled cable set comprising two HVDC power cables, a metallic return cable and a fibre optic cable, including beach landing and intertidal-zone installation activities. Asso.subsea stated it would execute the nearshore works using the cable-laying vessel CLV Atalanti, which would be modified to handle the four-cable bundle configuration. Jan De Nul was stated as the main contractor, with TenneT as the end client.
