In November 2022, TenneT launched a large-scale procurement tender for 525 kV HVDC cable systems covering fourteen offshore and one onshore corridor projects in the Netherlands and Germany, including the LanWin1 2 GW grid connection. The tender opened the market for suppliers to bid for the design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of the cable systems that will connect future offshore wind capacity to the onshore grid.
