Asso.subsea has been awarded the nearshore cable installation scope for the LanWin1 grid connection, involving transport and installation of a bundled set of two HVDC power cables, one metallic return cable, and one fibre optic cable off the northwestern coast of Baltrum Island in northern Germany, with the nearshore installation for LanWin1 scheduled to be executed in 2028 under Jan De Nul as main contractor and TenneT as end client.
