In 2007, Fulgor S.A. was commissioned by the Public Power Corporation (DEI) following an international tender to deliver a turnkey submarine interconnection for the Kos–Kalymnos link, comprising two 12/20 kV submarine cables with a total length of 32 km and a contract value of approximately €95 million. This award established Fulgor as the cable supplier and turnkey contractor for the upgraded Kos–Kalymnos interconnector.
In 1973, Fulgor S.A. completed installation of the first submarine electricity cable link between the Greek islands of Kos and Kalymnos, a 25.4 km connection delivered on behalf of the Public Power Corporation (DEI). The milestone marked the commissioning of one of Greece’s earliest island submarine interconnections, completed in parallel with a similar cable link between Paros and Naxos.
