Konti-Skan 2, a 300 MW HVDC pole linking Lindome in Sweden with Vester Hassing in Denmark, entered commercial operation in 1988 as the second cable of the Konti-Skan interconnector, following completion and commissioning of the thyristor-based system at 285–300 kV.
